The Document icon allows you to attach documents from Word, Excel, Pictures
and Web Pages etc to any Customer, Supplier, Invoice, Order and Stock Items. You
can also store your own documents on the main menu document button. Documents
are easily located as they are attached to individual sections eg. Customers,
Suppliers etc.
In the picture below you will see a number of documents which have already been
put into a sample list. By double clicking or pressing the Show Document
button the document will load in the corresponding windows application.
To know more about the document before loading it highlight the document only
and the help box below will show a brief description, if one was entered when
attaching it. (See picture help box)
Add Document: Clicking on this button will bring up a
standard windows file dialogue box to attach your document.
Documents can be pictures, excel files, word documents, web pages etc.
The next two pictures demonstrate how pictures and documents can be selected.
The picture below shows how you enter the document description/note. It is a
good idea to actually input the note because when you get a lot of documents in
the list they are easier to identify.
To make the attachment of web pages a little easier we have a slightly different window for adding web page documents.
Documents can only be retrieved for different sections of the software, by
going into that section first and pressing the document button with the
appropriate Invoice, Customer etc. highlight.
Note: Documents can also be added to the list using the drag and drop method.
