 SETTING UP COMPANIES  AND  IMPORTING OLD DATA

SETTING UP COMPANIES

Setting up Companies is done with the Company Wizard
This window is also used when loading the Program for the First Time to set the Serial Number and the Computer Number and if you are using XP or VISTA

1: Enter the Serial Number Supplied OR look on the CD if you have one. If you can not find your number contact BW within 30 days and just leave blank for now.

2: The Computer Number must be a different number on each computer on a network.  This Number is used to keep the setup for that computer so should only be changed at setup time. Note the number is for the computer and is not changed with companies.   

3: XP or VISTA  :   Windows has a bug in the list view control ( 'because they can that why' ) and it will not refresh in XP so we have put in a fix which is only needed in XP not in Vista. So if you have XP tick that box.

The next 2 Steps may need to be repeated for each company  and if networking the path may also need changing.

4: Company Number   Pick a 1 for the first company  then go to step 5 ... then pick 2 for the next company then go to step 5 .....>
You can have up to 5 companies.
 
5: Company Name:  Enter a short name for this company the shorter the better ie. Bizz Wizz Software Pty Ltd = [ BizzWizz ] or = [ BWS]

The Company Path is Pre-Set unless you have a network license, Then you will be able to Browse for the network path.

6: When all set press Ok Done  .
 

IMPORTING OLD DATA

Follow the steps to import your old Bizz Wizz data this process is a little long as the old data and the new are not compatible with each other
You will need to check all your data after the import and fix any errors, you will also need to redo all your setups as setup are not the same in some cases.
However 95% of all info will load into the new program keeping your change over minimal.    

Step 1: just check the company name above the step that you are importing the right company.

Step 2: Press this button and the window below will auto un-zip 

STEP 2:

No:1 Select old Bizz Wizz Version
Just Tick your old version

No:2 Type in Old Bizz Wizz Path
This path May or May not be correct, when you run your old version the path is in the top left corner of the window.
Change or [Find] the path if not correct.

No:3 Click to Import Data
If the path if not correct just click this button.

When done, you will return back to Step 3:

Step 3:  Click  on the Do Import to Version 14 button to do the rest of the Import. 

Your Data will now be Imported !  PLEASE CHECK ALL DATA AND DO SETUPS.
